Back in the Finals!
My DLSU Green Archers have beaten the Blue Eagles black and blue once again. Overcoming the law of averages and sweeping them 3-0 for this season.
Highlights of the game:
-Rico Maerhoffer's strong drive to the hoop.
-Rico Maerhoffer's strong drive and dunk.
-Rico Maerhoffer's alley-oop 180 reverse dunk.
-Joseph Yeo's "ninja" like lay up.
-Pep Squad doing the Arana "jiggy" to piss off the blue crowd.
-The "gwapings" pose by the Archers during the dying seconds of the game.
Some comments:
-I have said it over and over again, cockiness/taunting/jeering/dancing/posing in contact sports especially basketball are all legal in my book. Who are we kidding here? The crowd of both schools are cussing/taunting/jeering the players of the opposing team. Why would it be deemed "immature" or "arrogant" if a player does it? Heck, I have an atenean friend and I told him I feel like shooting LA Tenorio with a shotgun and he doesn't really give a shit. Face it...it's called INTENSITY. This is what makes Wesley Gonzales mr. bad boy of the UAAP. He backs up his game with attitude. Look at Ron Artest and his # of Technical Fouls. Does anyone give a crap really? NO! Because they know its what make Ron Artest RON ARTEST. Antoine Walker loves to dance too when he kills the other team when he is steaking. Even the BEST basketball player that ever lived, Michael Jordan has his trademark taunt, the "tongue". Can you imagine how the UAAP will be without attitude and "immaturity"? No drama, no rivalries, no impact and it would be stale and boring.
